[ Actually it makes a lot of sense when you think about it. ]

How do you know a detective? [Two ideas come to mind: either she's been involved in an investigation, or more likely, going by how she said he had a kid, that kid's a friend of hers.

I was kidnapped and almost killed, and Souji's uncle was the detective on my case. He and Adachi-san interviewed me because I had a stalker in town. He wasn't the one who kidnapped me. The stalker. I didn't become friends with Dojima-san's nephew until after Souji saved me. [Both. Definitely both.] One of the other detectives on the case wound up being an actual killer. But not Dojima-san! Adachi-san!

[That's a long explanation, but it sums it up, right? Her smirk turns to a mischievous smile.] Maybe that means it's the truth?

[She huffs.] Hey! Were you thinking they were doing perverted things, like prostitution? Because Killua-san is a kid. Why would he do something like that?

Good on you then! M'sure they're fairly happy with a lass like yourself.

[ And there's the smallest sheepish grin as he ruffled his hair. ]

I'd prolly've gotten my second by now if it wasn't for the fact I'd apparently taken a nap for a whole month. I feel a bit bad leaving Mister Spears to wait on me..

I suppose both of our birthdays just slipped us by! As for the oldest person here, there are some people that weren't human back in their own worlds, so technically they're older in mind than body.

There's a lot that goes on here, so I don't think we're the only ones who forgot our birthdays. Maybe when I get back to Goldenrod, we should do something together to make up for it?

[That could come with the territory of her experiences in the idol business plus whatever else happened in her life before she came to Johto.] I'd be delighted to have an "unbirthday" celebration with you, when you've got time.

[A pause, then she adds:] There are some who should be older as well by virtue of being from different times, but they were brought here suddenly. My friend Ronald, for example, is from Victorian-age England.
