Looking down at his partner, though, he never considered owning something "pretty rare." Cho seemed pretty normal as far as magical animals went.
At the same time, hearing that he missed his best friend, regardless of how long his stay was, is a heart breaker. This whole adventure thing would be so much easier if he had some sort of leader to fall back on.
