[There's a...tendency in Death City's society to treat a lot of women like objects, besides the literal sense with women that are weapons. Maka feels very strongly about it, though she exists as a "reject" of that ideal, because many of her friends have to go through it. There's so much more to them than the shape of their bodies, they're such wonderful people.]

Weird, isn't it? Not being scrutinized for every little thing about you.
