Hello everyone~! This is the newest member of my team, Ritsuko! Can you believe he's trying to learn how to dance? It's sooooo cute~!

[The Gear is panned over to several other Pokémon. An Eevee, Hoothoot, Flabébé, Espurr, and a Cleffa are playing around.]

Everyone here knows Himiko, of course! My Hoothoot is Fukuro, Sakuya is my Flabébé, Nanko is my Espurr's name, and Momomi is a Cleffa I got from a girl named Mimi! Momomi is adorable! She's attached to Sakuya, so she must love flowers.

[The Gear is turned now to Rise, who is pouting.]

I wanna get to Goldenrod as soon as possible. I've been here in Violet for a week now, and I need help! I don't want to travel all that way alone... Can someone help a girl out?

Action

Rise turns the PokéGear off with a sigh. She has not found anyone yet whom she could ask to travel with, so she's feeling rather down. Smiling on camera was easy. Keeping that smile after the cameras are off isn't as easy. Her Pokémon enjoyed the warm day immensely. Himiko kept playing tag with Nanako, Fukuro just let himself be resigned to his fate of horrible balance by just laying there on the ground and sleeping. Momomi and Sakuya are just happy to be exploring various little patches of grass in search of flowers.

It was a rather peaceful seen. Rise sits on the bench beside Ritsuko and grumbles. "I'm always tired now. Why can't there be cars or trains that take me everywhere. My feet hurt! It's not fair!" She looks visibly upset. "If the others were here, at least I'd have someone to travel with!"

Help an upset girl?

Ah, dancing? None of my Pokémon dance. Not yet, at least.

After I caught him and healed him at the PokéCenter, Ritsuko started dancing around to music with me!

Ah, that's really interesting. I was on a dance team at home... but I haven't found any Pokemon that dance here.

I was an idol! So I'm super happy I found Pokémon who like to dance and sing with me.

Oh, really? You don't look familiar... but given the different worlds... have you ever heard of Zawame City?

[She shakes her head.]

Zawame City? Not that I know of! But not being recognized here... I want to change that!

I didn't think so. That's where I live. Dance teams were really popular there.

[... Well.]

If you want to work on dance routines, I could help... maybe.

We have those here, but idols are more popular. I think dance teams are popular in America!

[She perks up.]

Really? A routine would be good for commercials...

I wouldn't know. I've never been to America.

[He nods, and smiles again.]

We all worked together to make routines at home. We were one of the top teams.

[Granted, that was mostly because they beat other in the Inves Game, but still.]

Neither have I. Maybe I should go...

[She looks rather impressed.]

Most of the dancing I did was for concerts. It was really fun, though, and a lot of hard work.

It seems interesting... if I get a chance, I'll go.

[He's not sure that he'll have one, but... that's an entirely different conversation.]

We practiced most days. I was the only one on the team still in school, so sometimes I had to miss practice so I could go study.

[Studying was important, but Rise has something slightly different.]

I didn't start going to school again until I took a break from being an idol. I had tutors help me with all that stuff!

Oh... well, my brother didn't know I was in the dance group... so I had to keep up good grades.

Did he find out? And did he get mad?

[She can't imagine her mother being mad since she helped her enter the contest.]

... Sort of. He uh... didn't have much time to be mad.

[He looks down. He didn't really want to get on this topic. Aki the Pachirisu climbs up his shirt into the frame. Hello!]

Oh...

[Now she feels bad for asking. She blinks and turns the screen to Ritsuko. Maybe these two interacting will cheer this boy up! Ritsuko squeaks happily.]

Look, Ritsuko, a Pachirisu like you!

Hello, friend! How are you? My name's Aki! Ritsuko's a nice name! How long have you been with your trainer? Where did you learn to dance like that?

Aki, careful -

[He gets a mouthful of tail, and he rolls his eyes.]

[Ritsuko chitters in return, making himself quite comfortable on his trainers lap.]

Aki? I like that name! I've been with her a whole two weeks now! That's so long.. but I love my trainer! Oh! Oh! I love dancing! You just copy your trainer and that's dancing! You should try it!

[Rise puts her hands over her mouth, trying not to giggle. Aw! That was so cute!]

I've been with him for four months! My trainer is usually pretty neat, though sometimes he gets sad. He doesn't dance very much when he gets sad, so I don't get a chance to copy him. But I should try dancing when he does dance! Some of the moves are hard because his legs are longer.

[Aki chitters gently, and Micchy moves his head so he won't get whacked by her tail again.]

Four months is a long time! My trainer is grumpy sometimes. And she likes super spicy food, so spicy it makes my nose hurt... But dancing is fun! The others dance, too!

[Ritsuko is better about not smacking his trainer with his tail. He keeps it curled around his belly.]

Maybe we can all get together and dance! It sounds like fun!

[Aki paws at her trainer insistently.]

What is it? You know I don't speak Pokemon.

Yeah! That sounds like fun!

[Ritsuko turns to Rise and lets out a little chirp. She nods and pets Ritsuko on the head.]

I think it'd be fun to dance with everyone, too!

[Rise looks at the camera with a big smile.]

Ritsuko wants to dance with Aki!

... You can understand yours? Mine just tends to squeak and be generally distracting.

[It's hard to work while she's being annoying...]

Uhm... I don't understand what they're saying, but I can guess what they might want to tell me. I haven't been wrong so far! I think Aki wants to dance with Ritsuko and you!

... Oh. Well, I guess it depends on what kind of music you want to dance to?
