[The screen pops on, and there's a worried looking Rise with a shiny Eevee in her arms. The Eevee looks sad as well.]

I found this little guy in my box this morning. Seems he came from Labrys-san... Does this mean she's gone now? Jin is really sad, and even Himiko can't help him. She's a Sylveon now, but she can't get him to feel better.

Do Pokémon take a long time to get over the disappearance of their trainers like a human would? Or is it different for them?

[She's really, really worried. And sad. She was hoping to get to know Labrys better.]

[Being inside the Dojo all the time to practice was wearing her out. The commercial she was preparing for was a lot more intensive than she thought it would be. She was definitely out of practice.

So since it's Sunday, she decides it would be a perfect day to go out and about. Time to look for more people she knows! Practicing bit into a good chunk of the time she was here, so not a lot of exploring had been done.

If anyone is walking around Goldenrod, you'll see Rise walking around with a sad Eevee in her arms, Himiko the Sylveon at her side, and Nanako the Meowstic on her other side. Nanako is the only one of the four who doesn't seem all too perturbed with Labrys being gone. She was getting better at dancing. That's all that mattered to her.]

Trainers are our friends. We eventually will get over their leaving, but we know that usually they're still living, just in their home worlds. It takes just as long to get over as it would for any friend that has gone away somehow, and sometimes longer. The more we love our trainers the harder it is to have them leave. Snake left once and I'm still afraid he'll leave again, says John.

[dangerousidol]

[Is... that... a snake talking? Or is the guy a ventriloquist? Wait... no, that can't happen. How to handle this...]

R-Right... So... Jin really must have loved Labrys-san.

[Snake nods. The ekans itself wasn't talking, you could see Snake's lips moving, but it was at nearly the same time that the Ekans was saying it's name.]

[Right. People can be really weird, but if this makes the guy happy, she'll just no bring it up.]

So there's nothing I can do to make it easier other than keep him safe?

You can show him love too. It makes it easier to know others welcome us too, says John.

I'll show him every day.

[She looks down at Jin and pets him.]

[There's a smile in Snake's eyes, even if his lips didn't move.] Good. If you want to know what's on his mind you can ask us, says John.

I might. Nanako can't get him to talk. I think he's afraid of her... she does stare at him.

[There's a hiss from off camera. Sounds like an angry cat.]

N-Nanako! If you stopped staring at everything it would help!

[The ekans looks to the pokèmon she petted earlier and asks him how he is doing. Snake just looks at him as well, making sure to blink and not stare.]

[Jin lets out a soft sigh. He's terrified of being left again, so he doesn't want this new trainer to let him go. Seems he'll have abandonment issues now.]

He's scared you will leave too. It's hard when a trainer leaves once. You don't want it to ever happen again, says John.

[Rise frowns and hugs Jin closer to her.]

I don't want to leave this place. I like it here. If I ever leave, it won't be by choice! Okay?

[Jin whines and curls up in her arms. He finds some comfort in the words. For now he just doesn't want her to put him down.]

Give him more of that and I think he'll start feeling better faster, says John.

That's good. I'm sure he appreciates it. It's lonely when you're by yourself, says Gaskell.

He won't be by himself anymore. All of my Pokémon like him already.

[That makes her happy to hear.]

I'm glad! I'm not the best trainer, but I try! My Pokémon always seem to know what they need to do.

[It's strange to use honorifics with snake Pokémon, but she wants to be polite.]

Oh! -san is a Japanese thing. It's like calling you mister!
