Name: Rise Kujikawa

Personality:
Rise Kujikawa is a cheerful, outspoken, cute, prideful, and flirtatious girl who is not above boasting about herself and her accomplishments. Her time as an idol and then a crime-solving student reflects these parts of her personality. Though that's not at all the full range of her personality.
Rise can be sweet and nice. If there are times when kindness is needed, she will be the girl for it. She is more than willing to let Nanako, a little girl, spend time with her, even letting Nanako know she will visit her and play with her. She shows more of how kind and sweet she can be when she finally realizes that she did indeed leave a lot of her fans behind when she stopped being an idol, reaching out to a little girl who admires her by writing an encouraging letter back to her.
She is not afraid to flirt and show off her body. Rise knows she is cute and has a nice figure, which she will flaunt if the occasion calls for it. She will intentionally pick outfits that she knows the protagonist might respond to, be it her bikini when they go to the beach which shows off and enhances her assets, or the kimono she wears for the first day of the new year, which gives her a more innocent appearance. She is big about her appearance, doing her best to always make herself appear attractive to the opposite, or even the same, sex.
She is more than happy to boast about herself, any compliment given to her by anyone other than the protagonist is met with a 'Of course! Did you expect any less?' attitude. She will also be the first to volunteer for something she knows she's good at, like the Ms. Yasogami High competition, where she is more than sure she will win because she is an idol and super popular.
She is not afraid to speak her mind, calling out anyone or anything she does not approve of. She calls out Yukiko on her inability to cook, despite not being a very good cook herself. Her bluntness can also be taken as her belittling someone, though this probably isn't intentional on her part. She is also not shy about her feelings, letting the protagonist know several times that she loves him and wants to be with him.
Rise is extremely loyal to her friends, and she loves them all in her own way. She loves the protagonist the most of them all, even if no social link is started with her, or the lovers route is not taken. She appreciates them when they return her affection and loyalty, such as when they were willing to help her out in a concert being held at Junes. She will also help them in battle by healing them when she can, and giving them tips on how to defeat their enemies, wanting nothing more than for them to win and get out of the battle alive.
Once she has decided on something, she will go all out. When she decides to help the main party go through dungeons and find the bad guy, her determination helps her and her friends in defeating the enemy, which in her case was finding out the weaknesses of the enemies and such. Her determination also translates outside of battle, when she once again decides to try her hand at being an idol and true to herself.
She is very capable of falling into depression, and her mood becomes rather sullen. When the main party meets her for the first time at her grandmother's tofu shop, she appears listless. Her speech is slower, and her mannerisms very subdued. She doesn't seem to care much about anything when she is in these slumps, rather wanting to be by herself, which is why she left the idol life behind.
Rise harbors a lot of self-doubt and insecurities as well. She tends to question a lot of things about herself, leading to her becoming withdrawn and quieter. These moods can either last a long time, such as when she's an idol, or they can be rather fleeting when she talks about them honestly with the main protagonist during the social link progression. She knows her insecurities are just a part of her, but that doesn't keep them from bringing her down. They stem from her feeling she has no individuality, that her idol persona has taken away all of what used to make Rise her own person, which is the main reasons she ran away from her fame.
She has quite a temper at times. If she doesn't get what she wants, she will throw a tantrum. When cooking for Nanako, she gets defensive and starts getting hysterical about being told her horribly over-spiced cooking was bad. She blames them for not having mature taste buds, only being placated in the end when Nanako tells her that she did enjoy it. She also does not like it when the protagonist shows interest in other girls, showing how possessive and childish she can be, pouting and telling him he can't call another girl 'cute'. She will even use crocodile tears when throwing one of her tantrums. She also does not take losing very well, as seen when she loses the Ms. Yasogami High competition.
Strengths:
Idol Being an idol has taught her a lot of things, including how to make people smile no matter what. She has stage presence, and stands out, and she uses it to her advantage. Since idols need to know how to dance and sing, she's built up quite a bit of stamina and endurance. She's also used to being the center of attention, so she will never shy away from that.
Good at analyzing and finding She's very good at reading other people. She can tell if someone is lying to her if she's been around them long enough, or know when they are holding back. In battle, she used her analyzing skills along with her Persona Himiko to make maps and figure out the enemies weaknesses. She is also good at noticing things that others may not be aware of.
Memorization Since she's an idol, she's been expected to memorize dance routines, songs, and scripts for things like interviews. It's hard work, but she uses it when she needs to. She could use this to memorize a lot of things to help her along her journey. (But that doesn't means she's good with schoolwork)
Encouraging If someone is down, she cheers them right up! In battle, she'll give encouraging messages, and let's everyone know they are doing well. Outside of battle, she let's them know she is their friend and that they can come to her for anything.
Loyalty Rise is willing to do anything for her friends. If they are in danger of some kind, she would be more than willing to jump into battle herself to save them, despite being more of a support person. Once she's made a friend out of someone, she will be so loyal it hurts.
Weaknesses:
Prideful She is not one to shy away from boasting about herself when the situation arises. She has a habit of trying to make herself seem more grand and big than she actually feels, which points at this being more of a defense mechanism.
Vain She is very particular about her appearance, doing her best to always look cute and stylish. She is not the type to be caught in things like sweatpants and sweaters. Her makeup is always tasteful, and she doesn't wear anything to make herself look tacky. She might spend a while on making sure her looks were up to par before leaving the house.
Moody When she gets sad, she gets very sad. She can drop her mood at the drop of a hat when certain subjects come up. She'll do her best to not show this in front of strangers, always wanting to keep up appearance despite not having to anymore. She doesn't want to worry anyone.
Temper She is quite volatile if she feels insulted, or her friends are insulted. She is childish and possessive of things she considers hers, and will start crying either genuine tears or crocodile tears to get her way. Pouting is usually one of the first signs that she is about to lose her cool, and throw a tantrum. Few can calm her down right away from this behavior.
Pokémon Information
Affiliation: Trainer
Starter: Eevee – Rise would want a Pokémon that had the choice at more than one evolution, like she was given the choice about whether she would give up being an idol and be normal, or follow her heart and do what she really loved. She would encourage it to find out what it really wanted, even if it's not what people expected it to be.

First Person Sample:
[The video feed turns on to show a little fox cat like creature looking expectantly upwards. Its tail swishes back and forth like how a puppy would wag its tail when happy. This earns the little creature a soft giggle from the person behind the camera.]
You're so cute, Himiko!
[Himiko chirps in response, and the camera is panned around to show a young girl now with curly brown pigtails.]
Hey there~! If anyone is watching this, I'm Rise Kujikawa!
[The camera is put down and the girl sits down on the ground, Himiko climbing into her lap. She looks less happy now. Her backdrop is the small town of New Bark.]
So, what is this place, really? I woke up in a strange house, and a crazy lady who called herself my mom shoved a bag in my hand and told me 'Good luck!'. She didn't even let me ask any questions!
[She now pats Himiko's head, and the small creature enjoys this immensely.]
This old man gave me what he called a Pokéball, goes on and on about this 'world of Pokémon', calls me a trainer, and then sends me off. The trainer manual is confusing, and this whole thing seems like some little kids video game or TV show! I know that Himiko is and Eevee because this really loud voice from my Gear told me what she is. It's called a PokéDex, right? Can I go home when I catch them all?
[She's pouting now. Himiko does the same. She seems to enjoy copying her trainer.]
Oh! And this music is really annoying. How do you turn it off?!
Third Person Sample:
This isn't going well in any regards to the situation. Rise is close to tears. She and Himiko had set out on Route 29, like she was told she should, and it was horrible from the get go. She keeps being attacked by other weird Pokémon every time she got near the grass. Himiko is exhausted from defending her. And now it's nighttime, and she can't figure out how to make a fire! She's frustrated beyond belief and finally starts crying. When she's finally done crying, she sniffles, and grumbles, deciding that this wasn't what she wanted to do. She wants to quit right then and there. A soft chirp and her hand being nuzzled bring Rise's attention back to the current situation. She wipes her tears away and nods. “R-Right, Himiko... I can't give up now... What would the others say?”
So Rise picks what she figures would be a safe spot for her and Himiko to sleep. Himiko is out like a light, which Rise is jealous of. Every single noise she hears sets her even more on edge. She could hear the Pokémon out there, crawling, walking.... slithering? She doesn't remember seeing any snakes out there. But there could be, right? “Sempai, I need you...!”
When exhaustion finally claims her, she is woken up by Himiko nuzzling her cheek, cooing at her with obvious worry. Rise rubs her eyes as she sits up and looks around. “It's daytime? Oh... I guess we made it through our first night, huh, Himiko...” Her Eevee chirps happily in response, bounding around in a small circle.
Rise finally wakes up enough to crawl out of her sleeping bag and goes into a shaded area to change her clothes. The clothes she finds in her backpack make her perk up. She wore stuff like this when she was an idol! She feels more confident as she puts the clothes on, and just this mere fabric makes her feel better about her situation. Until she thinks about the fact that she has two more days of traveling.
“Himiko... are we going to make it?” Himiko responds by nodding. Rise didn't know she could nod. Could Himiko understand more than she gave her credit for? As if she could read her trainer's mind, she walks over and nuzzles her leg to make Rise feel better.
Putting her hands on her hips, Rise nods, a smile once more on her face. “You're right! No sense moping around here! We'll keep going, and make Sempai and the others proud!” She gathers their things after a small breakfast, and sets out for Cherrygrove City.
