[The feed turns on to show Rise waving at the camera.]

Hi guys! Guess who's back in Johto? I forgot how quaint Cherrygrove was, and I wasn't even gone that long!

[She tilts her head with a sweet smile.]

Can anyone tell me where the best beaches in Johto are for the summer? Lakes or seas are fine, even a river~ I just want the best spot to go to and enjoy some beach fun! Any tip is appreciated. Thank you~

[The feed shuts off with another wave.]

[Since Teddie arrived here, Rise was on a mission to come find him. There's tree boxes beside her as she looks around for the bear friend. Who thankfully did not have the bear suit with him. Himiko, her Sylveon, is copying her trainer in looking around for Teddie.]

He can't be that hard to find. Maybe he got himself a job!

[ooc: Anyone in the Cherrygrove area can feel free to hit her up.]

[Teddie's Cherrygrove adventures have been...lackluster to say the least. As happy as he was to see some civilization after that three days of outdoor hell, the quaint little town made Inaba look like a paradise. Worst off, his travel partner didn't seem in a hurry to leave, which left Teddie with two options: Get a job, or become the world's most sparkly bum.

Guess which one he picked.

Hanging outside without anything to do, it's actually Teddie's cubchoo who spots Rise first, the tiny bear riding on his shoulders. She pats his head eagerly to grab his attention and is quick to point him in the right direction. Needless to say, he's absolutely thrilled to see her and begins running over as fast as his feet can take him.]

Rise-chaaaaaaaan~

[If it weren't for the fact that she's near boxes filled with what he thinks they're filled with, he would have definitely tackled her on the spot. Thank your deity of choice.]

[Now she definitely knows where he is. Rise squeals in panic as he runs at her, and is so thankful when Nanako and Himiko move the boxes to safety.

Rise lets out an explosive breath when she is indeed not tackled. Thank you, thank you, what was the Pokémon gods name again?]

You're still so loud.

[She does look happy to see you, Teddie, but not in the "I'll give you a hug" kind of way.]

I see you're fitting in just fine here, too! Sorry I couldn't be here sooner. I had to check in with work first.

[Teddie was expecting some sort of physical contact and finds himself completely caught off guard when there isn't any. He fidgets just a little, as if anticipating it, but it looks like he's coming up empty. To make up for it, he reaches over and grabs his pokemon, holding her in his arms, giving them something to do. He'll just have to get his hugs somewhere else.]

Nngh, I don't feel like I'm fittin' in...

[He confesses, lowering his head.]

As fun as it is hanging out with Pops and stuff, it just doesn't feel the same. I think I miss everybody else...

[Although Teddie fully understands that friends leave -- after all he was completely prepared when his beloved sensei finally had to go home -- he just wasn't ready for nearly everyone disappearing on him all at once. Adjusting's just going to take some time.]

I'm just glad you're here, Rise-chan. Thanks a bunch for comin'.

[Rise moves closer to him and pats his head. Since coming here, she's been pretty lonely herself. Physical affection is hard to come by in a place like this when everyone seems to prefer talking over little screens. It's made her be more hesitant about it. After patting Teddie's head, she pats the Cubchoo on the head.]

I think you're fitting in just fine. Your Pokémon seems happy.

[She smiles a little sadly as she nods. She's going to assume Pops is his traveling companion.]

You're my first friend I remember from our world here... Sempai was here for a day, but then he disappeared again...

[Damn 4th wall. She puts her hands behind her back, rocking on her heels for a moment.]

You don't need to thank me. We're friends, Teddie! Friends help each other out.

A beach? Olivine, definitely. There's even a lighthouse. I suppose there's Cianwood too, that city's pretty much nothing but beach.

You move quickly when you want to, Rise.

Olivine is closer... though I'd have to see if a friend of mine will meet me there. He did promise to go to a beach with me.

Well, yeah. I'm an idol. We have to be in a lot of places in small amount of time, so it's not like its hard. Having a Pokémon with Fly helps a lot, too.

[Speaking of "job", Perry just got out from his temporary job of working at the Pokemon Center. And it was hard to ignore this seemingly new person who sounds like she's looking for someone. So he approaches her with a curious look to see if she needs any help.

Hey Rise, meet Teddie's new dad.]

[Rise jumps when she notices someone approach her.... very, very quietly. She can't help but back away a bit.]

C-Can I help you?

[Her Meowstic steps between them and huffs. Who knows where she came from. You're scaring my trainer.]

[Sigh, he never scared innocent passerbys in his old body...

After looking taken aback by the slight hostility, Perry offered a warm smile and a wave. Seriously he's not going to hurt you.]

[Nanako is hostile with everyone.

Rise takes a breathe before watching him more closely.] Mute?

Reasonable, I suppose. I never did much traveling myself, back home.

[Being locked up in a castle all your life tends to cut down on that.]

At any rate, Olivine is a lovely little city so you should enjoy yourself. You might pick up your badge from Jasmine while you're there if you haven't yet.

Do you travel a lot here?

[Oh yeah, badges...]

Wait, that's the gym leader that gives out Surf, right? Of course I'll go after that one!

[Perry nods. Well technically he could figure out talking but gosh lips are hard.

He then looks at Rise again curiously. What was she talking about again?]

Off and on. I spent a long time in Goldenrod helping with the old Breeding Center, and I stay in Celadon a lot these days. But I fully intend to see the entirety of both regions. I've already done all of Johto, save for the caves.

[She is not going into those for anything.]

Yes, I believe so. Odd, considering her type is Steel, but she does live next to the ocean.

[She's quick to catch on.]

Oh... you're probably wondering why I'm out here... I'm looking for a friend of mine! He's about my height or a little taller, blond, blue eyes, and has a Cubchoo with him.

You don't like caves? Nanako got me lost in Union Cave, but they're not that bad otherwise.

I don't think that's too odd. She might just really like steel types.

[Perry's eyes brighten up with recognition as he nods. Yeah he knows who that guy is.]

You know Teddie?

[That's a surprise that this guy was admitting to knowing him.]

If you want to hit up the beach in Johto, it's best to go to either Olivine or Mahogany! Olivine's easier to get to, since you need to hitch a ride on a ferry over to Mahogany.

[Now that's what he's talking about. That's enough to cheer him up and Teddie gives a small nod in appreciation. His partner seems to do the same, pressing her head into Rise's hand as she gives her a small pat. The two of them might as well be twins, their smiles exactly alike.

...Actually, speaking of his pokemon and friends, Teddie holds up his cubchoo, this time prepared for a proper introduction.]

Oh right! Ahem. Allow me to introduce my new special pal, Cho-chan!

[The bear raises her arms in the air, as if expecting instant praise. Although Teddie knows...very little about taking care of other living things, a part of him beams to know Rise thinks his "pet" looks happy. And she does. Because she is.]

...Wait, did you say Sensei was here?

Hmm... yeah, I'll go for easy this time. Though I will totally check out Mahogany sooner or later.

[!!! What a cute name. She gives Cho-chan another pat on the head for being adorable.]

She's adorable! If I remember right, she's an ice type. Those are pretty rare around here. Oh! I should introduce you to Nanako and the others!

[She nods and doesn't look all too happy.]

He just came out of nowhere. He was in Vermillion, and I was in Goldenrod, and it took him a few hours to get to me. But at least he was nice enough to show up at all. Then the next day he was gone.

[To be fair like half of the reason Perry willingly associates himself with Teddie is because he almost instantly started calling him "Pops"

He nods again. He hasn't known him for too long but yes he does.]

I'm sorry. I know he's weird, but he's a good guy. Just... You just gotta be super patient with him sometimes. Oh! And he'll expect you to pay for everything. Since he probably won't get a job, I guess I can send you an allowance for him... I've got a pretty good job, so I don't mind.

Hmm... Goldenrod's got nice beaches, but I think Olivine is probably the nicest.

Cianwood's probably pretty nice too, but the whirlpools off the coast make it kinda stormy and cloudy a lot of the time...
