[ Soon enough, Naminé is at the inn, knocking on Rise's door when she sees Nanako outside it. ]

[There's no response from the girl in the room, so Nanako reaches up and opens the door to let Naminé in. With a sad look, the cat leads her inside.]

[ She enters quietly, folding her hands in front of her. ]

[Rise blinks and looks over, surprise clear on her face as she sits up.]

Mm, I did.

[ She sits at the edge of Rise's bed. ]

I'm not sure how good I am at comforting someone... but, um, if there's anything I can do, please let me know.

[Would it be rude to just hug her and cling?]

... I don't really know... I thought I was getting used to people leaving me, but... I guess not.

[shatterings]

[ Not at all. Naminé gently rests her hand on Rise's shoulder. ]

[Rise sniffles, wiping her eyes.]

I can't keep doing this... what if you leave? What if Kairi leaves? I don't want that to ever happen!

Rise... I can't say I won't leave, or that I'll be here forever... because I know that is a promise I can't keep. No one... really knows how long they'll be here. But...

Well, I think it's the time we spend together that should matter... so, um, we should spend as much time together as we can.

[More sniffling before she starts sobbing, wrapping her arms around Naminé, knocking them both over onto the bed. She's going to be clinging for a while now as she keeps crying.]

[ She's a little startled, but she wraps her arms around Rise, holding her. Naminé... isn't entirely sure what to say, so she'll just hold her. It hurts to see her cry, though... ]

[It'll be a long while before she finally settles down. Wiping her eyes, she looks at Rise, her cheeks and surrounding skin all puffy.]

I-I'm sorry...

It's okay... I don't mind. How are you feeling...?

... drained... and like I can't be happy anymore...

[ She hugs her a little tighter. ]

Mm... it's hard to feel different, when you lose someone so important... But I don't think anyone wants to see you sad, Rise...

I know they don't want to see me sad! But... I'm not a huge idol here... I'm just a girl who's the face of some candy shop in Goldenrod. I'm a normal girl here... who cares if I'm sad?

[There's just been way too much loss for this girl to want to do anything else but lay here.]

[ Oh, no... ]

Even if you're not a huge idol... you're still important to a lot of people. You don't have to be a star to be important...

I miss being a big idol... I miss being able to make everyone happy, dancing, singing, all of it. But it's too hard here... and so many people who were cheering me on to be my best are gone now... I was really looking forward to Christmas with dad and Teddie...

[shatterings]

[ Poor Rise... ]

I think... it'll be easy for you to find people to cheer you on. Well... I know I will. [ She pauses. ] And if you want to dance and sing... I've been practicing, so you won't be alone.

[dangerousidol]

[This will get you a tight hug, Naminé.]

Thank you... And I still think you would make an amazing idol. You can be like me, and not have a set role. Just be yourself! It is really hard work, though... but I think this is what I need to help me feel better. I can't just dwell.

[ There's a bashful smile as she hugs her back. ]

Oh... you think so? I can do my best. But... I'll work hard. Especially since it's so important to you. I don't want to let you down, Rise.

You know... someone suggested I do some TV ads. You think you want to record some of those with me? We can even just do some voice ads for the radio station here first. That way we can practice. Though... the practice part might be a little hard with the distance. We can video practice?

We can wait till after Christmas. I gotta plan my big comeback, even if it's in the Pokémon world instead of at home.
