[The screen pops on, and there's a worried looking Rise with a shiny Eevee in her arms. The Eevee looks sad as well.]

I found this little guy in my box this morning. Seems he came from Labrys-san... Does this mean she's gone now? Jin is really sad, and even Himiko can't help him. She's a Sylveon now, but she can't get him to feel better.

Do Pokémon take a long time to get over the disappearance of their trainers like a human would? Or is it different for them?

[She's really, really worried. And sad. She was hoping to get to know Labrys better.]

[Being inside the Dojo all the time to practice was wearing her out. The commercial she was preparing for was a lot more intensive than she thought it would be. She was definitely out of practice.

So since it's Sunday, she decides it would be a perfect day to go out and about. Time to look for more people she knows! Practicing bit into a good chunk of the time she was here, so not a lot of exploring had been done.

If anyone is walking around Goldenrod, you'll see Rise walking around with a sad Eevee in her arms, Himiko the Sylveon at her side, and Nanako the Meowstic on her other side. Nanako is the only one of the four who doesn't seem all too perturbed with Labrys being gone. She was getting better at dancing. That's all that mattered to her.]

[He says, knowing it's blatant hyperbole, but he can't help it. His inner gentleman would hate to trouble her.]

[She pokes a button and a small setup screen pops up.]

There. Now all you need to do is set up a message for people to see when they get to your inbox.

That's much simpler than I expected.

[Cue an awkward laugh, while he rubs the back of his head.]

Now you're all set for messages~ I'll make sure to send you some!

[She thinks for a moment, then nods.]

How about you get me some ice cream~?

[Well, that's a bit nostalgic. Nostalgic enough to earn a small chuckle.]

Of course. It just so happens that there's an ice cream parlor nearby, and I'd be thrilled to escort you.

[He gestures in its general direction, just to give her an idea of where to go.]

[She's always amazed at his gentleman behavior. It was cute and not over the top like most guys would do it. He was genuine, and it was nice.]

Alright~ I hope they have Pokémon safe ice cream~

[Himiko is now going to attach herself to Rise's arm as they walk.]

Well, given how devoted they are, I'm certain they have something for our little friends.

[Ah, so let's see. Just a few blocks down and around the corner. The shop should be fairly obvious, as it's marked by a light-up Vanilluxe sign.]

Do you think they'll have berry ice creams then? My Pokémon can be really picky about food.

[She's never seen a Vanilluxe, so the sign makes her eyes go wide.]

Is that supposed to be a Pokémon?

They should! Mind you, I've yet to sample their flavors myself.

[He's not a big fan of sugary foods, after all. With that said, he chuckles at her second remark.]

And I do believe it's a Pokémon. An ice type, if memory serves.

I could get full off of just samples.

[What a weird Pokémon...]

I don't think I want one.

I've seen worse. If Edea were here, I suspect she'd devour the entire stock in short order.

[It's blatant hyperbole; he knows even Edea has limits, but he can't resist a little joke every now and then.]

I doubt I'd capture one of these... Vanilluxe, either. I already have a Lapras, and I'd rather not collect too many of the same type.

That's....... wow, she's got a bit appetite?

[That's one she has to look up later. Sounds cute.]

I think as long as they get along with me, I'll catch anything.

Well, she does have an insatiable sweet tooth. Frankly, I'm not sure how she can stand all that excess sugar...

And yes, personality is important, though I'm sure some care more about battle capabilities.

I'm not the biggest sweet fan...I like spicy!

[She walks in and smiles at him.]

And I certainly wouldn't mind seeing the rest of your team someday, though there's really no rush.

I usually always bring them with me. But for the commercial, I only needed Himiko.

I admit that I tend not to bring mine with me to work, but that's largely due to the nature of the job. As a waiter, I handle food regularly, and rather not risk getting fur mixed in with the food.

[It's a health code violation, if memory serves, not to mention a risk to those with specific allergies.

At any rate, hell hover near the table, eying the menu more out of curiosity than anything. Perhaps he'll ask for coffee ice cream, if he has any at all.]

Really? But I've been to restaurants that have Pokémon help serve the food...

[Maybe they were special restaurants, or the Pokémon well trained. She sees something on the menu that catches her eye.]

Oh! They have espresso ice cream! You look like you'd enjoy that.

True, but mine are hardly trained for food service. Perhaps I should teach them what I've learned. It would look rather impressive...

[Heh. Espresso ice cream? How appropriate!]

I do enjoy coffee. Perhaps it's worth a taste.

[If it's too sweet, he'll just not order it next time.]

What kind of Pokémon do you have?

Well, there's my Vulpix, but I also have a Bisharp, a Lapras, a Dratini, Roselia, and a Doublade. This... unfortunately leaves me with a rather nasty fire weakness. ...And ground. Fighting as well.

[SIGH.]

It'll be a bit easier once my Dratini becomes a Dragonite.

That really doesn't sound too balanced. I just went with what I thought was cute and strong. I don't know if it's too balanced.
