[The feed turns on to show Rise waving at the camera.]

Hi guys! Guess who's back in Johto? I forgot how quaint Cherrygrove was, and I wasn't even gone that long!

[She tilts her head with a sweet smile.]

Can anyone tell me where the best beaches in Johto are for the summer? Lakes or seas are fine, even a river~ I just want the best spot to go to and enjoy some beach fun! Any tip is appreciated. Thank you~

[The feed shuts off with another wave.]

[Since Teddie arrived here, Rise was on a mission to come find him. There's tree boxes beside her as she looks around for the bear friend. Who thankfully did not have the bear suit with him. Himiko, her Sylveon, is copying her trainer in looking around for Teddie.]

He can't be that hard to find. Maybe he got himself a job!

[ooc: Anyone in the Cherrygrove area can feel free to hit her up.]

[Cho watches Himiko walk off, her eyes sparkling in anticipation. If anyone's excited about meeting new pokemon, it's definitely her. Teddie takes this time to rub his now sore face with a free hand, giving a relieved sigh. Although completely unaware, Teddie may or may not have taught his cubchoo to be obnoxious in order to get what she wants...through his own example.

Speaking of being obnoxious, it's his turn as he looks down at his partner and begins to whisper rather loudly.]

What the heck is an eevee?

[In which Cho can only look up at him, with the sort of expression that can only read "...Really?"]

You're not just sayin' that, are you? You...you really never laughed like that bearfore?

[..... Rise pulls her Gear out, switches to the Dex, and shows Teddie an Eevee.]

That's an Eevee. Normal type Pokémon that can evolve into a Sylveon, Umbreon, Glaceon, Leafeon, Espeon, Jolteon, Flareon, or Vaporeon.

[She gives Teddie a sheepish smile.]

I have. Just not since coming here.

[That's the cue for Himiko to come back. There's an Oshawott, Piplup, Dragonair, Meowstic, and a Glaceon with her..... a lot of blue and white Pokémon.]

[Well in that case, this other blue and white pokemon feels right at home. Cho hops out of Teddie's arms and rushes over to the approaching group, her paws held close to her chin as she fawns over all of them. The tiny bear might as well be acting like she's meeting celebrities, just look at all these different pokemon! She's never seen so many different kinds in one spot like this before.

Teddie smiles as he watches her fangirl over Rise's team, but a part of him still worries after what Rise herself just said. Sad friends make for sad bears, but he'll press it later. ...If he remembers.]

Boy, Rise-chan, it's like your some kinda expert here. I dunno how you remember all these weird names, they just look like kitties and dogs to me.

Your Dex tells you all about them. You should check it out.

[Rise walks over to her little group, and as she introduces them, they get headpats.]

Ume is an Oshawott, this little Piplup right here is Naoto. Then we've got Kairyu the Dragonair, Jin is the Glaceon.... and last, the one I told you about.

[The Meowstic steps forward and bows. If Teddie notices, she's wearing pink socks today.]

This is Nanako!

[Curiosity gets the better of Nanako, so she steps right up to Cho. Hi there.]

[It takes everything in Cho not to squeal as Nanako walks up to her, instead she only sways back and forth rapidly, clearly far too excited. She can't help it, meowstic are just so naturally pretty and majestic and she's even wearing SOCKS and and- Okay, slow down, need to breathe. Cho just can't help it, pretty pokemon drive her nuts, why can't she be that pretty?!]

Nana-chan... Now Nao-chan... Hey!

[Finally sensing a pattern, even if it's only a pattern of two, Teddie looks over at Rise and grins ear to ear.]

So does that mean you got one named after me~?!

[Nanako just stares for a while. She goes over to her trainers bag and digs through it. When that was done, she brings over a pair of socks with snowflakes on them, offering them to Cho. Snowflakes would look much better on an ice type in her opinion.

Rise shakes her head.]

Not yet. When I catch or hatch Pokémon, I go with what name strikes me first. For Naoto is was harder since I had to look at the fully evolved form to get inspired.

[She pokes around on her Dex, bringing up Empoleon and showing it to Teddie.] This is what Naoto will look like fully evolved!

[In disbelief, Cho finds herself doing a double-take as Nanako approaches her with the socks, confused for only a moment. Are these...are these for her? Hesitantly, she reaches for them. Although once they're in her little paws, those eyes light up and sparkle, the hugest smile on her face. No longer hesitant, she wastes no time putting them on, far too eager to have some sort of article of clothing to wear. It's finally happened, she's a pokemon fashion diva.

Teddie looks over at Rise's pokedex curiously, still unsure what "evolving" even means. At first he just figured it was a fancy way of saying the weird animals grew up, but after seeing Naoto's supposed evolved form, his confusion only grows.]

She's gonna turn into a robot?!

[Or does the pokemon version of Naoto just have a robot Shadow too?]

[When she has an idol for a trainer, Cho will be even more of a diva. People know Nanako, but not for good reasons. Nanako is a super possessive Pokémon, and scrutinizes all people who get close to her trainer. Though she totally fits the diva part perfectly. Nanako also has other clothing items, but she prefers her socks.

Rise giggles at that.]

Well, Empoleon is a steel and water type. So I guess so!

[Teddie doesn't understand, Rise seems all for turning that adorable little penguin into a giant robot monster bird. That's like something straight out of a scifi movie, what sort of horrible experiments must that piplup endure?!]

B-But why? She's soooo unbearably cute the way she is, why would you just go and change her like that?

Teddie......... you don't know anything about Pokémon, do you.

[Great. How will she fix this? She doesn't have any Pokémon near evolving.]

Look, her changing doesn't hurt her. It's like with dinosaurs and stuff. They change over time, but Pokémon do it instantly. So next time I have one evolving, you should totally watch how cool it is!

[Naoto nods and chirps. She wants to evolve!]

[Understatement of the year, Rise.

Teddie falls silent for a moment, looking at the Naoto piplup utterly confused. She...wanted to turn into a big scary robot penguin? It made no sense, why would anyone want to do that? If it were up to Teddie, he'd be small and adorable forever-

And then his attention turned to Cho, who was still parading around in her new socks, happily showing off for all of Rise's pokemon. Would...she get big and scary, too? He couldn't even begin to imagine what an evolved Cho would even look like, and a part of him didn't even want to...]

I dunno, Rise-chan... That doesn't sound so cool to me.

[She sighs and pats Teddie's head.]

To be honest? Ask her. If she wants to evolve, that's her choice. I always as mine if they want to evovle.

[She types something in her Dex and shows him a Dratini.]

This is what Kairyu used to be before he evolved. Himiko and Jin used to be Eevee's. It's not all bad. It's just makes them stronger. It doesn't change who they are deep down inside.

[Teddie takes one more glance at Cho before turning back to Rise, giving a reluctant nod. With the way she goes on, it sounds like Rise's all for evolution just as much as the pokemon are. Just ask her, huh? Yeah, Teddie can already see himself "forgetting" to bring that one up. That way she can stay his sweet little baby forever...]

We'll just have to see when we get there, huh?

[In which Teddie is totally not crossing his fingers behind his back.]

Yeah! I think she evolves at a certain level, so watch out for that while you train her!

[Frankly, the only thing that bothers her about the Cubchoo is the constant ice booger. It's even worse when evolved. She won't mention that part.]

[Training, huh? Fufufufu, guess who's never training ever again~]

Other- Oh!

[At that, Teddie grabs the bag on his back and ever so carefully begins to pull out an egg. Yes, a whole egg.]

You wouldn't bearlieve it, Rise-chan, the cuuuutest girl got me this egg for my first birthday! Pretty neat, huh~? [He chuckles.] I think I'm gonna name her...Egg-chan.

[It's a work in progress name...]

E-Egg-chan.... D-Do you even know what will hatch from that egg?

[TEDDIE, NO.]

Never mind. We'll see when it hatches.
