[Here's an irritated looking idol on the network. She's bundled up in a white parka with matching pants, a pink scarf, and some earmuffs that look like Cleffa's. Rise is pouting at the screen.]

So much for my summer at the beach! First it's way too hot, then it wouldn't stop storming, and now snow? This isn't funny! All I wanted was a easy trip to Olivine, but no, I've been stuck here in Ecruteak the whole time!

[She turns her gear around to show an Empoleon, Oshawott, Meowstic, and a Sylveon playing in the snow. All but the Empoleon were wearing some kind of winter gear made for Pokémon.]

At least these guys are having fun... Does anyone know how to make hot chocolate that's safe for Pokémon? I think they'd like that after they're done playing.

[Rise keeps herself busy so she doesn't wallow. It was easier to alleviate her loneliness by making friends with others and traveling than it was to sit in one place and never get anywhere because she'd be too depressed otherwise.

Cue over-dramatic sigh.]

Really? You have Pokémon, Mr. P, and all of these other things, and you're bored?

You can't play card games with someone who can't talk, Rise-chan. It just doesn't work that way!

Why not take Cho outside and play with her? She's an ice type. She'll love it!

Huh, you really think so? ...She has been acting pretty antsy lately...

[Looking off to the side, the feed turns just slightly enough to show Cho clawing at the window. Yes, she would love it, she would love it a lot.]

....... you should let her out right now. Else she'll break the window, Teddie.

[Really.]

Hrmmmm, I don't like broken windows...

[Teddie muses as he rubs his chin, because for whatever reason he has to think this over. After nodding to himself a few times, he finally waltzes over to the door and opens it, Cho wasting no time to bolt the hell out of there.

Watching her run down the hall, he can't help but give an impressed whistle. Little bear can move it.]

Aaaaand she's off! Looks like somebody's gonna be sleepin' well tonight~

[And with all this moving around, it finally becomes apparent that Teddie is, in fact, in the Ecruteak inn. This whole time. In the same city.]

.... Teddie.... where are you?

[Rise feels she's about to get that answer when she'll see a certain bear run out into the snow. She was near the inn with her own Pokémon.

Please don't actually be in Ecruteak.]

Pops took me to some kinda town called Eureka.

[That's not even near close, but he tried.]

But boy! Combeared to that golden city, this place is boooooring. I dunno why he keeps moving all the time, I didn't even get to see the circus yet...

[And as predicted, Cho sprints out of the inn and into the snow, running around on all fours with the energy of a thousand bears. She looks just like a kid in a candy store, the way her eyes seem to sparkle. She can't even remember the last time she's seen so much snow!]

Do you mean Ecruteak? And how'd you two get here so fast? D-Did you travel in all this bad weather?

[Yep. That's a Cubchoo all right. Nanako spots her, and to stop the bear, she throws up a Light Screen with the strength of a wall. That's the way to stop a friend.]

[The look on Teddie's face pretty much says it all.]

I-It wasn't fun, trust me.

[A loud THUD can be heard in the background the moment Cho smacks into that Light Screen. No, that's fine Nanako. Just give his bear a concussion why dontcha.]

I-I wouldn't think so... How did you handle the heat?

[Rise hears the thud, and she looks over.]

N-Nanako! What did you do that for! Are you trying to hurt Cho?!

[Nanako looks like she really doesn't care.]

That part was easy! See, Cho-chan has this snow move and-

[Wait. Wait. What...what did Rise just say? In a sudden weird turn of events, Teddie jumps into full on worried parent mode. That is his baby.]

W-What did you do to Cho-chan?!

[Rise goes over to check on Cho.]

She looks okay. I guess Nanako was trying to slow her down. Nanako, apologize!

[Nanako looks from Rise to Cho. You need more training if you want to be an idol. A true idol would have dodged that.]

[If there ever was a pitiful face, it'd be the one Cho makes the moment she sits up, eyes full of tears from Nanako's comment. Talk about dumping salt into the wound, it's one thing to throw a wall at her during her play time, but then to say something so cruel. All her dreams... Everything she wanted to do... Nanako was her hero, and now she isn't even a true idol in her eyes...

It isn't long before Teddie comes running out, although he hasn't even bothered to put on the appropriate clothing. He probably...doesn't actually own any winter gear...because...you know, weird weather, but still! He power trudges through the snow to get to his pokemon, his other two close behind him as they call out in worry.]

Lemme see! I gotta see to make sure!

[Rise said she was okay, and Teddie does trust her, but...well, his baby etc.]

[Nanako puts her little paws on her hips. Idols never rest. You're still a trainee. She nods sagely before wagging one of her paws. Like my trainer, I'm always aware of my image. It's okay to get excited, but never break your image when there's others watching. At least not in public. Got it?]

N-Nanako, you're so harsh...

[She kneels down and holds her hand out for Cho. Yes, it's okay to worry, Teddie, but don't fuss all the time.] If you really wanna be an idol, I can teach you.

[Before she gets a chance to cry or make a scene, Cho finds herself caught off guard when Rise offers her hand. The tiny bear's eyes water and she sniffles pathetically, yet she grabs her hand eagerly, clearly not ready to give up just yet. She'd love to learn, really! It's just hard.

When Teddie finally reaches them, he acts as though he just ran a mile, panting as he collapses to his knees. Look, walking in snow is hard in just your dress clothes. They really need to make this stuff less...everywhere.]

D-Do...do I need to call an ambearlance?

[He's also still in dad mode.]

[Rise looks over just as Nanako does, and they both give him a "Really? You're a drama queen" type expression.

Especially when they notice that he wasn't.... wearing... winter... clothes...

TEDDIE. REALLY?]

No. She's fine. Go back inside before you get frostbite.

[He says through obnoxiously chattering teeth. But...going inside does sound pretty good right about now. N-Not because Rise told him to or anything, just because he wants to. Yeah, that's it. But he's not leaving until after he scoops up Cho, who continues to look at Rise like she just promised her a million cakes.

She will try her hardest, you can count on it.]

You're not a bear right now. You're a human.

[Alas, Rise will go back with him. She picks up her Oshwaott, Ume, and looks at the others.]

Let's go inside. We all need to get warmed up, okay?

[Her Pokémon will not complain. Inside meant yummy food. And cuddles, too.]

Cho can join us if she wants. But no boys allowed!

[Teddie pouts, like any mature person would.]

[But before he can finish, Cho leaps out of his arms and begins to follow Rise and her group of pokemon, she didn't even have to think about it. Teddie's jaw drops at the sudden betrayal, heart broken, his other pokemon looking at each other as if debating if they should go with. After all, they're girls too, it could be fun...]

GAH, Rise-chan, no! That's not fair! I can be a girl, too!

[Rise motions to the other two.]

Come on Rosa and Tomo! You guys can be a part of it, too~

[She looks at Teddie with a blank stare.]

...... so you really want to be a girl? Are you still going to hit on girls if you're a girl?

[Rosa and Tomomi give each other one more glance before nodding together, easily pushing past their trainer to get with the other group. Teddie's heart can only break so much and he would've thrown a huge tantrum if it weren't for what Rise said soon after.]

Oh come on! I don't hit girls and you know it. That's just rude.

I said hit on girls. Not hit girls. Hitting on girls means you are flirting with them. Or you can say you're making a pass at them, though that one is more like scoring. There's a lot of terms that can be used to mean flirting.

[Well see, that sounds a lot less painful. But why would anyone compare hitting to flirting? Humans are so weird sometimes...]
