[Here's an irritated looking idol on the network. She's bundled up in a white parka with matching pants, a pink scarf, and some earmuffs that look like Cleffa's. Rise is pouting at the screen.]

So much for my summer at the beach! First it's way too hot, then it wouldn't stop storming, and now snow? This isn't funny! All I wanted was a easy trip to Olivine, but no, I've been stuck here in Ecruteak the whole time!

[She turns her gear around to show an Empoleon, Oshawott, Meowstic, and a Sylveon playing in the snow. All but the Empoleon were wearing some kind of winter gear made for Pokémon.]

At least these guys are having fun... Does anyone know how to make hot chocolate that's safe for Pokémon? I think they'd like that after they're done playing.

[Well look at that, she actually did it. Rise managed to turn her adorable little baby penguin into a horrifying giant robot. Good...good for her. Thankfully, Teddie isn't here to complain about that. ...He'll just complain about something else instead.]

Teddie! Oh... well, a friend of mine promised me he'd go to the beach with me with me this summer. And I had another friend offer me a place to stay when I got there... Oh! I'm supposed to go shopping with her, too.

[Yeesh, how does Rise do it?! Teddie almost couldn't believe it, if it weren't for the fact that she was a super popular idol back home. No wonder she's so busy, it really did seem like that popularity bled over here.

Incidentally, Teddie doesn't seem nearly as excitable when Rise asks him how he's been.]

Do you happen to have a Pokémon with Sunny Day on hand? While I doubt it'll do much to remove the snow, it may at least provide some temporary relief.

[Chihiro had gotten accustomed to the fact that the weather was probably just going to be bad for the remainder of the month, but...snow was not something he'd been expecting, for sure. And while it is tempting to just stay indoors, when he sees Rise's video appear on the Network he decides to head outside to meet her. While he didn't actually pack much that was well suited for the cold, he's wrapped up in one of his Leavanny's own hand-knitted scarves. While it is...not very easy on the eyes, it's warm, at least.

He walks side-by-side with his hands buried in his Arcanine's fur which seems to be keeping him warm in the frigid air in spite of his typing. Wherever he steps in the snow he leaves a massive and slightly melted paw print in his wake. His Linoone trots just behind them, diving headfirst into small snow drifts every now and then before burrowing out and finding another one to jump into.]

There you are, Rise-san. Have you been out here all morning?

Yeah! They insisted on it. And since I never unpacked my winter gear... well, I came prepared.

[This girl will need to spend a while going through her backpack when she gets to Goldenrod. Who knows what else is in there!]

Are you keeping warm with your Pokémon? I tried not to be too noisy when I went outside with these guys. They all were super excited to join me.

[She looks down as her Oshawott came over, wanting to be picked up to be warmed up. Rise complies by picking her up and holding her close.]

But I think Ume is saying it's about time to go inside. W-We didn't exactly have breakfast before coming outside...

It's pretty odd how unpredictable the weather's being.

[ Heck, even for this place, it's concerning. There's a sigh and a ruffle of his hair as he thinks it over. Some of his pokemon haven't taken too well to the cold. While some of them are happy to play in the snow like Rise's are, some of them have taken to huddling around his Rapidash and (in the case of his Cubone), Yukio himself. ]

As for your question about hot chocolate... I don't really have any idea but... my brother might know a thing or two.

I didn't like how hot is was... I've got nothing about a nice summer, but that was way too much. Ice cream melted as soon as it was take out of the freezer. My Pokémon and I parked right by an A/C and barely moved.... And then the storm! My hair was so frizzy...

My poor little Kanji can't handle the cold at all. He's been hiding under the blankets with Kairyuu...

She should be. But too much human food can make the little ones really sick... or so I was told. She can have a little occasionally, I guess.

[Rise has been trying to not give hr Pokémon human food as snacks. Only her Meowstic complains.]

I don't know, maybe there's some kind of chocolate equivalent that's good for Pokémon? I know back home, chocolate is usually bad for animals, so I wouldn't take any chances with the normal kind.

Well, the Poképuffs come in a chocolate, but I want to know where I can buy it. I should go to the mart. I should have thought of that first.

I think something is wrong with the climate of this place. I'd suspect the moon but it didn't make much sense, given it looks normal on most nights.

I... think regular hot chocolate is actually safe for pokemon, though, but they seem to enjoy it if it's made with Miltank milk. I've been giving my pokemon some with that and they seem to be enjoying it.

As for hot chocolate, I imagine that it depends on the type of Pokemon. They don't always react like the animals I'm familiar with. Maybe you could go to the store and ask for recommendations from the clerk? They would know their own stock best after all.
